AccommodationJames Cook English Language Centre can arrange accommodation if required. To book your homestay or student lodge accommodation, refer to the Enrolment Form.
HomestayThe homestay service is a very popular way for students to live with an Australian family and experience the local lifestyle and culture while improving their general understanding of English. Our experienced Accommodation Officers will ensure, where possible, that students are matched with a family that suits their individual interests and needs.

Cairns Student LodgeSituated 400 metres from James Cook English Language Centre's Cairns campus and linked to the campus by a pedestrian walkway/ bicycle path, the Cairns Student Lodge provides fully-catered, shared apartment-style accommodation for 234 students. Facilities include a phone in each apartment, internet access, swimming pool, BBQ area, volleyball courts, dining room and conference facilities.
Airport TransfersStudents who book to stay with one of our homestay families or at the Student Lodge (and have paid the airport pick-up fee) will be met at the airport and taken to their accommodation. Taxis and hire cars are available at the airport for independent travellers.
Social ActivitiesVisitors to Tropical North Queensland have access to some of the best activities in the world. They can: dive the world famous Great Barrier Reef; walk through the magnificent Rainforest; swim at our fabulous beaches; watch the crocs, feed the kangaroos and cuddle a koala; experience the excitement of white water rafting and bungy jumping; or just relax and take in our beautiful scenery.
